Go ahead. 你去啊；說吧；你先請
go ahead在口語中很常見，主要有三種意思：
- 一是要對方想去就儘管去，我才不怕。
- 二是要對方繼續說下去。
- 最後則是禮讓對方先走、先用時使用。
If your want to wait here all night for tickets, go ahead. Count me out.
如果你想在這裡等一整夜買票的話，你去啊。別把我在內。
情境對話
A: Well, I’m not sure I should tell you this.
我不確定我是否應該跟你說這個。
B: No, go ahead. I can keep a secret.
沒關係，說吧。我可以保守秘密的。
要對方往下說時，可以這麼說
- Say whatever you want. 想說什麼就說什麼。
- Speak freely. 隨便你說。
- Go on. 繼續說下去。
A: I just wanted to say… 我只是想說…
B: Go on. I’m listening. 繼續說下去，我在聽。
禮讓對方先走時，可以這麼說
- After you. 你先請。
- Ladies first. 女士優先。
- Age before beauty. 長者先。
當兩個人同時要做某件事的時候，較年長的一方會說
age before beauty，一方面取得優先權，一方面也讚美對方年輕貌美，通常說的時候會帶有開玩的語氣。這個口語源於美國兩位知名的作家 Clare Boothe Luce 和 Dorothy Parker 之間的玩笑話。 - You first. 你先請。
A: Do you want to use the telephone first? 您想先用電話嗎？
B: No, you first. I’m in no rush. 不，你先請。我不著急。
